Tips on layering a fake id template in Photoshop. How to make a fake drivers license.

the subject basically says it all. i'm trying to lay a signature over a faded photograph, but I can't figure out how to make the photo show through the signature. i tried using the paintbrush feature to sign the actual card image, but it looks like ••••. i want to sign a piece of paper, scan it, and then lay the image over the faded photo. i'm using Photoshop

Tips on layering a fake id template in Photoshop. How to make a fake drivers license.
-scan in the signature.
-you should have 2 layers
-delete the background layer
-then if the checkered background appears behind the signature you are good to go.
-otherwise, use the magic want tool to select all white areas on layer 1, including the insides of o's,p's, etc.
